My pups story stars when he was 6 months old and staring at me, face pressed against his cage with the silly grin he’d love to make. I knew immediately as his eyes were following me around the Atlanta Humane Society that he was coming home with me.
From that point he’d travel everywhere with me. He even took the trip out to Portland,Or where we found our new home together. One of our most memorable experiences together was getting stuck in the moving truck on the way out in Wyoming. We got caught up in a mean snow storm and the truck wouldn’t start. So we slept together in the moving truck using each other as a blanket.
He’s been by my side everyday so when I found out the news of his lymphoma. The news that it spread so quickly that all I could do was make him comfortable. That news took something from me. While I’ll never get that back I’ll always remember everything he gave me throughout his 9 years.
Powell Veterinary Center provided comfort with the loss of my best friend. They were amazing and I can’t thank them enough.
A donation was made in Granite's memory and the memorial was created on February 17, 2019.
