Kalvin came to my front door emaciated and unable to breathe. With his beautiful Green eyes, he begged me to help him. It didn’t take long to fall in love with this Orange Tabby youngster. Sleuthing out his background, I found out that he had been put out to die by a neighbor who also beat and kicked him and threw him into walls. When I took him into my Dr. Kirsten Munck , we quickly found out that he had asthma and a severe interstitial lung infection. It took time, but the antibiotic course cured the infection and his asthma was easily managed. He grew more beautiful and loving every day of the 14.5 years I had him. At 17.5 years of age he let us know that he was ready to leave earth for heaven. Kalvin left a huge hole in my heart. I miss him so much.
Thank you OSU Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine for your dedication to insuring the future health of our furry family members and more. I am an OSU Grad of ’68 and I am so proud of and grateful for each of you.
A donation was made in Kalvin Poncy's memory and the memorial was created on February 20, 2019.
